Where are you located?

Our office is in Carbis Bay near St. Ives, next to the Kidz Playzone. If you are driving through Lelant and Carbis Bay, towards St. Ives, drive past the Heatherbell Inn and Becks Fish & Chip Shop (on the right), and take the next left, past La Casita Restaurant. What is the minimum age for hiring vehicles?

We can not hire to anyone below the age of 21. We can hire to drivers aged 23 and over or under 75 years old. Drivers between the age of 21-23 will incur an extra charge - please call the office for a quote. Drivers need to be at least 25 to drive 7.5 Ton box lorries with at least a Category C1 licence.

Can I take a vehicle abroad?

Yes, we offer European hires. Please call for a quote and further information.

What do I need to bring with me when I hire a vehicle?

You need to bring your drivers licence (if you have a photo-card licence, you will also need to bring the paper part), and a valid debit or credit card. This is used as a security deposit and a form of ID with your current address.

Is it possible to hire a vehicle on my own insurance?

We can allow customers who hire a vehicle for a long period (i.e. 3+ weeks) to insure the vehicle themselves. Please call us for more information.

Can more than one person drive the vehicle?

Yes, additional named drivers can drive the vehicle. There is a charge of £5 + VAT per day for each additional driver. We will need to see each additional drivers licence when the vehicle is collected, but the driver him/herself does not need to be present.
